Our process
To start the process Clever Home Designs will take a comprehensive design brief of what is important to you and your family, which would include your lifestyle, your site, what things are important and your budget and expectation.
Clever Home Designs then prepare some initial concept sketches reflecting your brief and continue to refine them until your completely happy with the result.
Once your comfortable with the design, Clever Home Designs will write up a specification again, that reflect your priorities and your budget.
Once you have reviewed the specification, inclusions and the concept sketches, Clever Home Designs will go through various options of different builders and what each one brings to the table and how that will represent your best interest.
Clever Home Designs normally then send off the plans, inclusions and specifications to three suitable builders to get an apples with apples comparison which will ensure you the best fit for your new home.
Clever Home Designs then go through the three quotes with you and go through the merits of each proposal using over forty years of experience to represent your best interest. We then interview the various builders together to ensure you are completely comfortable with them and their values and quality. Once we award the right builder for you, Clever Home Designs works with your through the shire and selections process again to represent your best interest to the builder on a fair basis.

Up until recently most people looking to build a new home would visit display homes village or engage various builders to work out who is a good fit to build their new home.
The continuing competitiveness of the market along with clients increasing expectations and the complexity of sites has prompted most new home buyers to seek a number of different options for their new home.

Design aside, which is generally the intellectual property of the builder, comparing the “platinum” specification against the “signature” specification against the “display” specification is all but impossible and that’s not taking into account the items that are and are not included in the “quoted” price.

Sounds too good to be true? what is in it for us or how do we get paid? Most builders have building consultants (sales people) they generally work on commission basis to “sell” their particular proposal to you, instead of the consultant getting the sales commission, we get the builder to pay us what he would normally pay his sales person. Besides the completive environment that will give you a commercial advantage, the builder also saves on the design work (we include this as part of the renumeration from the builder).
